As The Beatles once proclaimed, money can’t buy you love.
With LEGO launching a Yellow Submarine set which includes the Fab Four, though, we’re not sure what to believe any more.
The toy giant recently unveiled the 550-piece set after a LEGO Ideas contributor named Kevin Szeto received the necessary 10,000 fan votes to be considered, meaning fans will finally be able to take a trip in the famous yellow submarine of the 1968 musical fantasy film.
Szeto, who also happens to be a musician, said: “I have always been drawn to the music of The Beatles.
“The creation of the Yellow Submarine model was really my way of showing my affection for The Beatles, as well as trying to pay a small tribute to The Beatles phenomenon.”
You can lift the lid on the sub to allow access for the Liverpudlian musicians, with the set also including an easter egg in the form of a Jeremy Hilary Boob figurine.
Now, we’ll admit, those looking for some Blue Meanies or nifty features will be disappointed, but a miniature John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr manning the sub is likely enough to quell the dreams of most fans.
The Yellow Submarine, which has gone on sale today, November 1, will set wannabe owners back £49.99, so make sure not to splurge all that payday cash on boring stuff like food and electricity bills — Beatles LEGO is much more important.
